This is a retailer-marked Henry Deringer style peanut-size pistol in .38 caliber. The barrel is 1 1/8 inches long and the overall length is 4 3/4 inches. The barrel carries a retailer marking and still shows about half of its original finish, and the furniture is engraved. The item is filed under Handguns with the Antique Handguns type, and the listed condition is used.

For a West Virginia buyer this piece suits display and collecting more than any other use. The listing does not describe carry, home defense or range use, so the description covers the configuration only: a very short barrel, a compact overall length and engraved furniture on a small historical pattern. Buyers should expect a collector's item in used condition rather than a modern firearm for daily use.
